The BOOK SAFARI specializes in vintage series fiction issued by Grosset & Dunlap, Cupples & Leon, A.L. Burt Company, Henry Altemus Company and other publishing houses circa 1870 - 1970.  While our inventory primarily focuses on children’s series, we throw our net wide to include some popular out-of-print adult series, and series that were originally intended for adults but were also popular with young adult readers.   

The BOOK SAFARI has been providing quality books to discerning collectors since 1991.  We have had a web presence since 1997.  Our staff seeks out the highest quality vintage series books from a multitude of sources.  We’re collectors too, and our policy is to offer no book that we wouldn’t have in our own collection.  We grade conservatively and it is not unusual for us to receive email from clients marveling that the books they received were actually in better condition than the description indicated.
