THE BOBBSEY TWINS TREASURE HUNTING By Laura Lee Hope

The Bobbsey Twins Treasure Hunting, the 22nd book in the long-running Stratemeyer Syndicate series, was originally published by Grosset & Dunlap in 1929. Early editions featured white spine dust jackets and standard artwork with a circular spine emblem declaring "For Children of 5 to 10 Years." The books were bound in green cloth with applique covers that matched the artwork on the dust jacket. Circa 1930, the "For Children of 5 to 10 Years" emblem disappeared, the applique cover was eliminated and this title was published with a plain white spine dust jacket, with the exisiting cover art, for the remainder of the decade. Some print runs offered Bobbsey Twins paperdolls on the rear panel of the dust jackets. In the early 1940's, G&D switched to the pink spine dust jacket format. In the late 1940's, the blue and white spine standard dust jacket format was introduced. About 1963, this title went out of print.
