BOYS' BIG GAME By Elliott Whitney

This 13 volume series was written between 1912 and 1924 by five different ghosts under the "Elliott Whitney" penname. Authors who contributed to this series include Evan R. Chesterman (who was actually credited on volume #11), H. Bedford Jones, George N. Madison and H.L. Sayler. Volumes 1 through 8 were originally published by Reilly & Britton Company. Volumes 9 through 13, subsequent reprints of the earlier titles, were published by Reilly & Lee Company. In the Late 1930's, Reilly & Lee retitled and reissued six volumes of this series as The Rei-Lee Adventure & Mystery Stories for Boys & Girls. Four titles of the original set were also later reprinted by the Whitman Publishing Company.
