The Call of the Wild was first published in 1903. In the 1950's and 1960's, Grosset and Dunlap reissued this title, in both dust jacket and picture cover editions, as part of the G&D Famous Dog Stories collection. Whitman issued picture cover editions of this title in the 1960's and 1970's.
